Lovely all around. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Good choice of wines. Food was delicious. Tuscan shrimp, apple salad, and Ricotta ravioli were divine. Brussel sprouts awesome. Mascarpone cheesecake and gelato were a wonderful end to a great dinner.

My partner and I have eaten at Floriana at least 10 times since we moved to DC. This is our go-to spot when we want a reliable and delicious meal. We have enjoyed both dinner and brunch here and we love the vibes of their patio out front. We highly recommend Floriana!

The place is absolutely beautiful and so warm. Would have loved to have dinner there. I waited patiently for 20+ minutes because I knew they were busy, it was just me, and they had larger tables. No one ever came over to acknowledge me for a drink or to ask if I was waiting on someone else. I left disappointed. No service at all. But their atmosphere is a vibe.

The food was absolutely fantastic! The appetizer wasn't really big enough to share, but it was delicious. The scallop risotto was amazing, and a generous portion size! It's a bit on the pricier side, but worth it for the yummy seafood.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros:
-I reserved online and was promptly seated.
-The Segal cocktail was fantastic

Cons:
- The food didnt meet expectations: Nothing about the dishes popped.
I could've made better at home.
I ordered the pappardelle and overpriced fiori di zucca
- $130 for 2 people
- Our cocktails that were ordered with the entree didnt show up until I was finishing the last two bites of my entree
- i basically sat in the walkway because the restaurant crams too many tables into the restaurant

HOW IN THE WORLD DOES THIS PLACE HAVE 5 star reviews??????
I was so excited to go here while visiting Washington. It was on top of my list of places to eat. And boy oh boy was I ever disappointed….. where do I start??

When you first walk in, you are hit with a strong smell, I couldn’t quite figure out what it was under the prosciutto was brought to our table. Maybe it’s because I don't eat meat, but in my opinion that smell is not normal for anything ingested should smell.

Let’s move onto the waiter and his condensing tone. he was very annoyed with me when i was inquiring about dishes due to a food allergy. After inquiring about the dishes I had my eyes on and couldn’t end up ordering any of it. So I asked the waiter what on the menu can I order since I’m sensitive dairy. And told him what I can and can’t have. He turned and told me that I shouldn’t of come here then, rolled his eyes and walked away and said I’ll give you time to think about it!!!!

I understand that I’m not an easy customer due to my food restrictions, but don’t have to be rude about it.

Now onto the food, we had asked the waiter how big the portions are so can get an idea of how much food to order. He said they’re fairly generous! IT IS NOT. The lobster risotto
Is not the normal portion like other places, and there wasn’t much lobster in it at all, just the few bits that you see there. And I will tell you this and many people will be able to relate, whenever I eat sea food that isn’t fresh, I get hives, and low and behold, I got hives right after. This is not the last of it yet… when it came time to dessert, I read the ingredients on the menu and went with the chocolate cake, (remember that the waiter and I’ve already had this talk about my sensitivity to dairy) he brings out the cake, and there’s whip cream on the cake 😒, so I tell him and his response is why didn’t you tell me? I totally would’ve understood if the restaurant was busy and he had too many tables to serve but he did not, so the attitude was just uncalled for.

He took the cake back and brought out a new one, that night…. I puked my brain out. If I didn’t know better, I’d think he intentionally wanted to poison me.

so to say i was disappointed is an understatement!! What a horrible night it turned out to be, to have hives, vomit and diarrhea.

And that is why I have chosen to give my review so that people who have food allergies can be aware and not end up like me.

Unfortunately we may have just gone on an off night, but my wife and I did not enjoy our meals tonight. I got the bison short rib and my wife got the lamb ragu and the food just didn’t taste fresh, and the flavors weren’t there. It was as if our meals got a quick microwave and then served to us. We were excited to go because of the great reviews, but the meal itself wasn’t to the standard we were expecting. The ambiance in the place was nice overall, but we won’t be going back.

As a DC local, Lupo is our go-to date night spot. We have brought countless friends for lunch or dinner. We discovered our favorite red wine here. The food is authentic, flavorful, and the menu changes to keep in-season dishes in the rotation. The service has always been great. I highly recommend Lupo Marino!

Five stars. Delicious. Highly recommend the lasagne and the tortelloni mignon… both were so wonderful. Atmosphere- sat outside, beautiful night. Servers very helpful.
Would also recommend chocolate mousse and tiramisu. (Would have posted more images but it started to get dark out and I did not photograph meal and dessert)

Floriana remains a mainstay on 17th street. The atmosphere is kitschy but pleasant, and the food is mostly consistent. The lamb gnocchi remains one of my faves; however, the gnocchi far outweighed the quantity of sauce on my last visit. Also I found myself asking for the salt on all of our appetizers. Overall, though, for the money, it’s a nice Italian option in the neighborhood. I was confused why we were being pushed a bit to turn the table as there were many empty tables around us on the patio….

We had reserved a table on the rooftop and drove for 50 minutes specifically to enjoy the rooftop experience. However, upon our arrival, we were informed that the rooftop was closed. Instead, they offered outdoor seating by the street, which was far from comfortable. The tables, especially those with a fire pit, were clearly not designed with dining in mind. It would have been better if they had called us beforehand to notify us about the rooftop closure, rather than providing these uncomfortable alternatives.

Moreover, their menu was quite perplexing and challenging to understand. Given our disappointment with both the taste and presentation of the appetizers, we decided to leave without ordering a full meal. Cocktails were the only good part tho! Regrettably, the experience was far from pleasant. We have no intentions of returning to this restaurant.

If I could give ten stars, I would. Truly deserving of the Michelin Star. We did the traditional tasting and it was perfect. The opening amuse bouche, which was a full spectrum of gustatory delights, was paired with an incredible Barone Pizzini 'Golf 1927' Blanc de Blanc, that mysteriously kept getting refilled. After the course, explanation, and great conversation with staff and companion at the bar, we were shown to our table where the main event began.

The pictures tell the tale better than words can. The menu was superbly planned and very summer appropriate. Will update later with more detailed notes on each course. But the biggest delight was Chef stopping by the table to have a word about our experience and thank us for joining them.

The whole staff's warm, outgoing, relaxed, and welcoming personalities as well as their overarching passion for food is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. Service was incredible. I'll definitely be back.

I would not go on a Sunday evening. Slow service, it does get annoying to have to ask for bread, oil…. So we just stopped.

Food was good but the poor service soured the experience.

Must be my luck, but it just sucked! Will not go back.

Ottimo servizio, gentili.

I come here with often and the good is always the same quality. Brunch has gotten popular over the years, you'll have to call ahead and make reservations just in case. For brunch, I always get the carbonara or sausage biscuit gravy. I love the wine selection when I get dinner there. The pasta is made in house which makes a huge difference. I've tried almost everything on the menu :).
