Wow- what an experience! Best view in Rio- special place to see this beautiful city! We took amazing cog rail train up and enjoyed the view to the top. We got fantastic picture and enjoyed espresso at the cafe. Monkeys around are fun to watch near the top. This is a once in a lifetime place and must do if in Rio!

Magical and bucket list experience seeing this, and even better once the sun came out- when we arrived it was very misty/cloudy. It's approximately 20mins on the train from the bottom up to the top- recommend that you sit on the right hand side facing upwards for the best views, and left side facing forwards on the way down. The train gets packed very quickly and no formation of getting seats, people just line up and push in. The services do run on a strict schedule. It's alot cooler up the top, several souvenir shops, places to get drinks, lot's of viewing areas of Rio up the top, also plenty of stairs- recommended to take some water.

Such a beautiful landmark from Rio it is so much bigger in person but I recommend you go because it lets you see a beautiful view. One thing I do have to add is that it gets really hot and people will charge you a lot more money at the top of the landmark rather than the bottom. Make sure you either bring a fan, sunglasses, and a hat. If you can wear comfortable clothes and comfy shoes.

Absolutely gorgeous sunset up here.the Statue itself is glorious and beautiful to behold! We came up via train and stayed until the last one down. It was very crowded but totally worth the experience with the 360 views of Rio and to see the Statue up close.

One must not miss this attraction in Rio De Janeiro. A 20 min train ride to the top but due to the usual crowds even on weekday and off shoulder periods, you’ll have to wait for the electric train. As you board the train, try to take the seats on the right hand side for a better view of the bay.

After you get off at the fourth and last stop, take an elevator to the base of the statue. Saves you about 6 flights of stairs.

Finally, manoeuvre your way in the maddening crowd to take the best pics of the statue and the panoramic scenery.

You have to visit if you’re in Rio, and it’s amazing enough to deserve 5 stars. My review is more of the small tactical things that may make your visit better:

Arrive early. Before 8:30 early. I booked the 7:20 am train departure, but ended up going up the hill at 7:40. By the time I was leaving at 9am the line was well out to the street and trains going up the hill were standing room only.

Bring a hat, the direct sun can be brutal! Bring water as well. If you go early beware the cafe is not open until 9am.

Overall be prepared for the lines and rude people going to get shots for the Gram.
