Stazione della metropolitana di Vienna

Clean outside platform. On time train performance. Station attendant, Mr. Wilson, very resourceful and made travel via the Metro a pleasant experience.

Very nice metro stop that makes it easy to get into DC. It has just been updated (about a month ago) with new tracks, shaded areas, billboards and turn styles. It is never super busy. I have never had trouble parking and they is plenty of bus service outside the station to get to GMU and wherever you need to go in Fairfax thanks to the vue bus. Staff is very nice and helped us when we ran out of money on our card coming back one night.

버지니아 비엔나역은 오렌지라인의 종착역이었다. 미국 워싱턴에서 생활할때 꼭 해보고 싶은 것이 버스나 지하철 같은 대중교통을 꼭 이용해보고 싶었다. 미국은 개인 자동차 중심의 생활을 한다고 해서 더욱 궁금하기도 했다.

대중교통 수단이 대한민국 서울과 수도권과는 많이 다를 것이라는 것은 예상했다. 큰 차이점은 다른 라인과 환승방식, 요일/시간대별로 요금이 차이가 난다는 점, 개인 승용차를 지하철역에 주차하고 지하철을 이용할 수 있게 주차공간을 엄청 넓게 확보하고 있다는 점이 확연히 다른 점이었다.

7월말부터 평일에는 자동차, 주말에는 지하철을 중심으로 생활을 하고 있다. 지하철을 타고 이동하는게 왠지 더 익숙해졌다. 이정도면 현지인이 다된것?^^

지하철 안내방송이나 지하철 역사나 차량의 내부의 청결상태는 조금 더 개선되었으면 좋겠다.
