This spot is a hidden gem. At first, it seems like I was trespassing because of all the high-rise buildings along the water. However, the area is not corded off and open to the general public. Much of the site is under maintenance, so don't go with high expectations. Being at the shorelines, you'll see plenty of debris floating along the retaining wall.

We miss so much from either working or driving through the city. If 2020 has taught us anything, it is to slow down and enjoy all life splendors. I've lived in NYC for over forty years, and I recently started exploring the benefits of living in the tri-boro area. If you need to get out of the house to go cycling, skateboarding, go on a date, go for a jog, rollerblade or take a long walk. Pier 46 won't cost you any more than your time.
